Whatpub update 67 (April)E1, KNAVE OF CLUBS, 25 Bethnal Green Rd. Reopened after a long period of closure and a refurbishment. Much of this Grade II-listed pub's interior remains, including bar fittings from the late 1800s, three large Victorian glass advertisements on the wall, and some wall tiling. Three handpumps with cask ale from Allsopp's. Restaurant above. Was DIRTY BONES for a while. E10, BOOTLACES (Punch). Reverted to AUCTIONEERS around 2023. E10, SPARK HOUSE (ex Laines), 557-559 Lea Bridge Rd. Reopened by Remarkable Pubs in February as EUROPEAN following refurbishment. Traditional style pub with the bar on an elevated level, garden to the rear and a rooftop terrace. Open plan kitchen.
